Glowy Skin Favourites

Updated: Apr 29, 2019

1. Pixi Glow Tonic £10-18 (Pixi Beauty)

A very obvious pick, so let’s get it out the way first. There’s a reason this toner is a cult product, with it’s skin-clearing, brightening and hydrating fixes. The glycolic acid exfoliates and refine pores, while Ginseng improves circulation and energizes. Glow Tonic quickens your cell renewal, uncovering glowing and healthier looking skin- not bad for £18.

2. Herbivore Phoenix Oil £24-74 (Space NK)

I know so many people still afraid of putting oil on their faces, but this is ideal for all skin types. It’s best used after cleansing and toning, morning and night, when it works to revive and replenish your complexion. Your skin will be left super soft and hydrated, and with a dewy finish perfect on it’s own or under make up.

3. Alumier Purifying Gel Cleanser (Check for you local Alumier stockist)

This is the perfect all-round cleanser, that gently cleans skin, removes excess oil and pollution to feel super soft. It totally soothes and hydrates, with natural foaming ingredients unlike a lot of other face washes. It’s also pH balanced and plant-based- with coconut, chamomile and aloe for a natural cleanse.

4. Botantics All Bright Radiance Balm £7.99 (Boots)

For only £8,  this balm is better than a lot of things I’ve used. I use this as a primer before my make-up, as it makes the skin look naturally glowing and dewy instantly. It leaves your skin feeling silky, and lasts all day. Even with an ultra matte foundation, this balm helps it look a bit more natural and radiant.

5. Hourglass Ambient Metallic Strobe Palette – £59 (Space NK)

These highlighters look effortlessly perfect in any light. This palette is perfect for a soft, natural contoured, photo-finish look with three different highlighter which can be used in different areas. Hourglass allows you to look deviously sun-kissed, blur imperfections and highlight all in one. This is the only palette that has me deviating from my beloved Champagne Pop, and is much more subtle and less sparkly than alternatives with a real luxury feel.

6. Pixi Glow Mist £16 (Pixi Beauty)

Want that golden hour look 24 hours a day? Then you need this. A wonder product which can be used to set make-up, refresh make-up, on top of your moisturiser- even on your hair. Wherever you spray, you get a luminous, glowing and dewy finish. It also protects, hydrates and nourishes with it’s 13 natural oils, plus propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts. Every review agrees that you’ll glow like a goddess and I doubt it will be long until it’s part of every make-up routine.

7. Fenty Gloss Bomb £16 (Harvey Nichols)

Fenty aren’t lying when they call it the ‘stop-everything, give-it-to-me’ gloss. I haven’t been a fan of lip glosses in the past, but this is the one that changed everything. The rose-tinted, perfect nude suited for everyone is a great finishing touch to the rest of your glow. It also makes lips look fuller and conditions, without the stickiness. Going to work? Going out? Going out-out? It works for every occasion and never looks too much, and flatters everything. It also smells amazing, so bonus points for that.

8. Garnier Fresh-Mix Tissue Mask Vitamin C £3.99 (Boots)

If you have time to or a special event, this vitamin C mask is perfect for use before make-up. This left my skin feeling brighter, plumper, softer and of course, glowier. My favourite make-up day ever has been after using this before applying primer. The only downside is having enough time to do it.
